Course Objectives and Description:

This one day training course has for objectives, among other things, to describe and to explain the regulations, standards, recommended practices and procedures now in force concerning winter maintenance at aerodromes and airports.  It introduces and explains the new regulatory framework to come in force soon concerning winter maintenance at aerodromes and airports.

Course Educational Approach:

Essentially, this training uses the lecture approach.  The power-point presentations include illustrations, pictures, diagrams and tables. During the presentations, many examples will be given in support of the concepts and topics studied.  Participants will be invited to take part in discussions relating to winter maintenance regulations and winter maintenance methods and techniques.  The participants will receive a course binder containing all of the slides shown during the training and a CD having additional material on the many topics studied during the course.

Methodology:
